Diskeeper is a professional hard drive maintenance solution with the flexibility and scalability to work on either a single machine, or large networked environments. Diskeeper is very user friendly, and even includes recommendations on how to evaluate the software during the 30 day trial offer. The interface for Diskeeper is very easy to navigate, using tabs to navigate through data. Diskeeper is not your average defragmentation program. Diskeeper provides accurate graphical and statistical data about the drives under consideration. Upon evaluating a drive the software will display just how badly your drive may or may not be fragmented, and explains how that is slowing down the system, performance gain estimates are even included. For example, Diskeeper told me that my main system drive was heavily fragmented, and data on that drive would take 1.37 times longer to read. This accurate data is also displayed graphically.
Diskeepers “set it and forget it” option will do wonders for everyone from the standalone computer user to a large network admin. Drive maintenance can be automated through a scheduling module, and even around common nightly system shutdowns. I would recommend this software to home network users, or system admins, whom it would be invaluable to.
