SoftCollection Security System software turns your PC into a security system, that will protect your home and/or office from unwanted intruders. The advantage of SoftCollection Security System is that it is very easy to install and doesn't need any additional hardware. You can install the system yourself, without professional assistance. The parallel port of PC has all the necessary features. It has 13 inputs, that may be connected to a buttons through the 500 Ohm resistors. When the button is pressed (or released), depending on the option chosen by you, the system gives sound alarm, shows on the plan picture where the event occurs, shows detailed event description on the screen, writes it to the log file and even sends it to the specified email address, that may be an address of another computer, in police office for example, or your mobile phone. If your PC has two built-in parallel ports (USB-to-Parallel devices not supported yet), you can connect up to 26 sensors, each of which may be a push button or reed switch, installed on the door or the window.
PLEASE REMEMBER YOU MUST CONNECT EVERYTHING THROUGH A 500 Ohm RESISTOR!!! OTHERWISE YOU MAY CAUSE HARM TO YOUR PC!!!
